'500' Year Flood Assistance Given In Tennessee

The “500” year flood in Middle Tennessee destroyed or damaged thousands of homes and left a momentous mess to clean up. Total damages are in the billions and insurance companies and state and federal agencies are still trying to sort everything out while homeowners and business owners scramble to repair their houses and offices.

Working through local congregations in Nashville and Middle Tennessee, we have sent $2,545,900 dollars worth of food, clothing, cleaning and other supplies. Plus, we have shipped truckloads of drinking water, new beds, furniture, and appliances.
Congregations in Nashville, who distributed aid, include these Churches of Christ: Bellevue, Charlotte Heights, Jackson Park, Lebanon Road, Pennington Bend, Schrader Lane, Scott Avenue, South Harpeth, and Tusculum.

Congregations in Middle Tennessee include: North Blvd. in Murfreesboro, Old Hickory, Pegram, Waverly, Antioch, Ashland City, Carthage, Centerville and Fairfield (both in Centerville), New Providence in Clarksville, Shiloh in Cumberland Furnace, Berry’s Chapel in Franklin, Joelton, Linden, Neely’s Bend in Madison, Millington, and Mount Juliet.

As of the end of June, we have shipped $3,941,016 in aid to eight states.
We want to continue to send as much aid when needed to disaster victims all over the USA. In order to do this, we urgently need you to help by sending a donation.
